Since its inception in 2003, Los Angeles streetwear brand The Hundreds has never strayed from its somewhat subversive approach to clothing design—insisting that in order to spark change, one must first rattle the norm. For its Winter 2014 collection, the brand taps into that deep-rooted philosophy for a line inspired by riots, rebellion, and unrest.

“One of the clearest ways of defining who you are is by fighting against what you are not,” says co-founder Bobby Hundreds. “The Hundreds was established as a response to convention, to rules, and industry paradigms [...] We’ve sought revolution—a new philosophy for how clothing should be understood, brands experienced, and companies built. The season considers the uniform of radical thinkers and progressive activists.”

Anchored by rugged outerwear, the line is comprised of two-tone jackets, quilted nylon vests, fleece pullovers, flannel button-ups, and cargo pants. Subtle logo placement and a unique camo motif are also employed throughout the selection, nodding to the brand’s history and reverence for militant/political subcultures.
