Not every celebrity real estate purchase is a mansion in Los Angeles with wine cellars, moats, and 10-car garages. Sometimes people with money make practical decisions and buy smart instead of buying big. Jimmy Fallon bought a nice weekend home in Sagaponack, Louis C.K. bought Babe Ruth's old house on Shelter Island, and now (according to TMZ) singer/songwriter Ne-Yo has signed a check to become the owner of a "farmette" in Alpharetta, Georgia.

There is nothing particuarly exciting about the property (besides the floral chairs), but it does have good bones. The rooms are big, and the layout is open, so Ne-Yo should have no problem bringing it into the 21st century with some kitchen, living room, and bedroom upgrades. The property wasn't that expensive either, selling for $520,000. Buying a two-acre home with five bedrooms in Hollywood or even Atlanta would have been a whole lot more expensive.
