Back in July, Kanye West graced the cover of a GQ issue that featured a full fashion spread and interview with the rapper, which of course provided some essential reading. Now, what looks to be a behind-the-scenes video from the photoshoot has popped up on the KanyeToThe forums, and it provides a peek behind the curtains at what went into creating a thorough editorial that focused on some of Kanye's current preferred aesthetics and individual pieces. But there's more than just a straight-up look at the process of creating a magazine spread. Ye also speaks directly to his goals with this particular photoshoot, and how perfection is not good enough for him.

"Most people are just satisfied with, 'It's good.' Most people are satisfied at a 10, or something. It's not to just stop at 10. You know, 10 is ground zero; perfection is ground zero. We need to take things to a genius level." And even if doing that ruffles feathers along the way (which it undoubtedly has), Yeezy knows what path he's gonna choose. "I'd rather take the chance of being hated to bring that type of creation to the world."

Watch the video here to see what being perfect is merely a starting point for Ye. So how do you take creative and artistic endeavors to the next level? "That's when you do stuff that's perfect, that's past what people expected," he explains. "That means it has to not been done before...But you know what the fuck I'm talking about. I'm talking about Picasso."
