Contemporary artist Kabriah Asha, the daughter of master sneakerhead DJ Clark Kent, will present her first visual art showcase, titled "Africa On Wood," tomorrow. The two-day event, which also serves as Asha's 21st birthday present from her parents, will be at The Bishop Gallery on Bedford Ave. in Brooklyn.
For the show, Asha will exhibit a variety of work, including pop art paintings and drawings. Whether she is creating realistic drawings of people, pointillist portraits, or colorful and expressive paintings of figures like Bob Marley, Asha's talent is evident.
"Africa On Wood" will run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m on Aug. 15. On Aug. 16, the showcase will open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. All artwork displayed at the showcase will be for sale.
DJ Clark Kent is known as God's Favorite DJ and is also the host of Complex TV's original series Quickstrike.
