Gallery owner Jonathan LeVine has announced a new public mural project in Newark, New Jersey. The project will be made possible with support from New Jersey-based company Liquitex and Winsor & Newton, and will kick off this summer with a mural by art duo Dabs Myla in late July and another by Chicago-based artist Pose in August.

"My gallery is in NYC but I live in NJ," writes LeVine. "This is my home. I was born and raised here. I love New Jersey. Like much of the state, the city of Newark has an incredible history and I’m very excited to get involved with its revitalization. These two murals will be the first of many for locals and visitors to enjoy for years to come. I hope the attention this project receives will shine a light on Newark’s growing cultural community, of which I’m very proud to be a part of."

Works by both Dabs Myla and Pose will also be featured in a group exhibition at Jonathan LeVine Gallery next month titled "Cruel Summer," curated by Roger Gastman. For more information about the mural painting dates and locations, as well as the upcoming exhibition, head to the gallery website.
