Back in October, MADSTEEZ visited Newark, New Jersey, the hometown of NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal and painted a very aggressive and size-appropriate mural of the big man on the wall of the Malcolm X Shabazz Gymnasium.
The portrait shows Shaq squeezing a basketball in a red and white jersey with a very mean stare (though we're pretty sure the reference photo was from a Celtics photo shoot). The mural was featured briefly in a Reebok commercial last year, but now we get to see it in all it's glory. The video below was recently posted online and shows the artist crafting the mural, Shaq stopping by to check it out, and a Newark native sharing his thoughts on the artwork and what it does for the neighborhood:
