Those living in New York and anyone who's recently visited the city may have noticed that hundreds of ornate eggs have taken over the streets. The stunning 250 works of art stashed throughout New York's five boroughs are all part of the Fabergé Big Egg Hunt. It's a modern version of the scavenger hunts from our childhood, challenging anyone with a smart phone to find and digitally collect the massive eggs, designed by the likes of Curtis Kulig, Jeff Koons, Zaha Hadid, and more.

As expected, the eggs that eager city-dwellers have stumbled upon and flooded Instagram with are gorgeous. Some are more intricate than the others. Nonetheless, each one is unique. We scoured Instagram for a look at some of the eggs, but you'll have get yourself to New York and hop on a subway if you want to see these babies up close.
