Philippe Starck and Other Designers Collaborate With TOG on a Line of Open Source Furniture

Have you ever wanted to have a designer chair, but only if you could alter the piece of furniture to fit your needs? The TOG company provides what they call "naked" furniture and allows buyers to customize pieces through an open-source style collaboration. The company recently announced a line of 21 new pieces, created by Philippe StarckSebastian BergneNicola Rapetti, and other top designers.

The collection will feature chairs, stools, and tables that you can add your own style, changing the colors, patterns, and in some cases the shape so that your environment doesn't resemble a vanilla showroom display. There is even the option to download the furniture as data so you can use your 3D printer at home to create it.
