106 Bayard is a non-profit organization an art project designed to celebrate the art of graffiti. On May 10, they will host a block party in Brooklyn at their 3,000 square foot building (located at 106 Bayard Street) with a live DJ, food and drinks, and transportation to and from the 2014 Frieze Art Fair

Attendees will also get to witness the unveiling of the inaugural 106 Bayard graffiti mural. Each year, a group of artists will be invited to paint the wall to reflect a theme. To kick it off, eight artists were tasked with creating a collaborative piece that pays homage to the subway and wall graffiti of the 1970s and '80s. Futura 2000, Lady Pink, CycleWolf 1 AOK, Dr. Revolt, Team, Part One, and Jackson each put in work, and students from the Williamsburg Charter High School will make a contribution to the piece as well.
