A new program, titled New York Fashion Tech Lab, aims to give small fashion tech companies a chance to be sponsored by Macy's, J.Crew, Ralph Lauren, and more. The Lab's founders seek to expand NYC's flourishing fashion industry, which already includes 800 companies dishing out $10 billion in wages, by grooming the next class of fashion tech leaders.

"By identifying the most innovative fashion technology entrepreneurs in the Fashion Capital of the World and giving them direct access to the leaders in the industry, we will create jobs in the city and strengthen the sector overall," said NYFT Lab co-chair Maria Gotsch.

A handful of fashion tech startups will be selected by the NYFT Lab founders and invited to participate in a 12-week program, which begins in May. Mentors from the participating companies will work one-on-one with the up and coming companies, incorporating workshops, and rigorous sessions to help them develop their business strategies before they present in front of an audience filled with venture capitalists and industry executives in July.

If you think you're company has what it takes, apply here before April 4.
