We're down at SXSW getting ready to hit up Flatstock 43, to see ways art and music crash into one another in the heart of Austin. Presented by Vans and the American Poster Institute (API), Flatstock 43 shows and sells the work of the world's top gig poster artists.
Exhibiting artists have gig posters for Wu Tang, Ghostface, Chromeo, The Rolling Stones, The Black Keys, Vampire Weekend, and The xx, among many more. The API is a nonprofit organization dedicated to poster artists, their community, and promoting the gig poster art form. It's an exhibition that captures what SXSW is all about—different artists coming together in one space for a crazy week of cultural discovery. Check it out above.
