Almost 40 years ago, BMW kicked off their Art Car series with Alexander Calder and the BMW 3.0 CSL. Later came Art Cars by many great artists, including Roy Lichtenstein in 1977, Andy Warhol in 1979, and all the way up to Jeff Koons in 2010. David Hockney completed his car in 1995, and now car and art fans have a chance to see it in person thanks to BMW's partnership with the 2014 Paris Photo Los Angeles art fair, now in its second US edition.

Warhol's car was a great treat at last year's fair, and Hockney's is sure to draw a crowd this year. In addition to the BMW 850CSi, Paris Photo Los Angeles will also present rare photos from the LAPD photo archives, various talks and screenings with artists and curators including Slater BradleyBruce ConnerMoyra DaveyRainer Ganahl, Simon CastetsDoryun ChongLeigh Ledare, and Jeff Wall, and the main event of over 80 galleries from around the world exhibiting some of the best photographic works of the 20th and 21st centuries.

The fair kicks off on April 25 at Paramount Pictures Studios. For more information, check out the official website
