Even if we were fiending for a real, working Leica at the front of this year, there’s something insanely charming about this snap-together model. (Is there a way to make this work?) This DIY snap-together Leica M came printed in a single sheet of plastic, from which the hobbyist can assemble the pieces into the model. It’s like LEGO for shutterbugs.

Designer Marcelo Ribeiro got his hands on one and made the elegant little clip above. The kits were produced by F/Nazca, of Saatchi & Saatchi Brasil, where Ribeiro works, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first Leica camera. It was going to go out to exclusive Leica clients (read: those who can afford the higher-end cameras) but it ended up getting scrapped due to high production costs. A man can dream, though. A man can dream.
