Australian artist Guy Whitby (aka WorkbyKnight on deviantART) has created a series of portraits celebrating South African icon Nelson Mandela. Whitby constructed the homage pieces using his signature aesthetic and favorite medium. By arranging computer keyboard pieces to fashion pixelated images of Mandela, his portraits give the viewer the feeling that they’re staring at something fading out of reach. Although Mandela is gone, his legacy of fighting for racial equality will never be forgotten.
