Zheng Chunhui Unveils 40 Foot Wooden Sculpture, the Largest in the World

You might think that the Guinness World Record holder for longest wooden anything would be prone to any number of lewd jokes, but one glance at Chinese sculptor Zheng Chunhui’s latest masterpiece should silence your dirty mind with swift and awesome prowess. Four years in the making, this enormous 40-foot sculpture is exceptionally detailed.

Dainty housing structures and storefronts are elegantly carved against a backdrop of lush gardens. The project was inspired by the painting Along the River During the Qingming Festival, which depicts a holiday that falls on the 104th day of the winter solstice and is reserved for celebrating one’s ancestry.

The piece is currently on display in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China.
