"People, the revolution will not be televised," says Korean pop kingpin G-Dragon, channeling Gil Scott-Heron on the title track of his second full-length album, Coup d'Etat"The revolution is in your mind. The revolution is here." Yep, G-Dragon is the future, and if ya don't know the Korean music industry grossed $3.4 billion in 2012—growing at a dramatic rate compared to the rest of the world—now ya know. Coup d'Etat, featuring the talents of Diplo, Baauer, Missy Elliott, and Sky Ferreira, is the album that might just change your mind about K-pop.

To call G-Dragon a K-pop star wouldn't be wrong, but it wouldn't be totally right, either. Because, at 25 years of age, the man born Kwon Ji-young exemplifies the Complex world we live in—pushing the boundaries of not only music, but also style, sneakers, and art and design. Our shared vision is why the YG Entertainment star took time out of his recording schedule to fly from Seoul to New York to shoot this groundbreaking cover with us.

To celebrate the release of GD's innovative new album, Complex presents a new kind of digital media experience starting with this cover, photographed by Christian Anwander. The feature story, written by Jaeki Cho and Donnie Kwak, makes full use of the latest multi-plane parallax scrolling technology. No, the revolution won't be televised—it's right here. Let's get it started.
