Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa has become so prominent in human culture that it can now be perceived as a visual icon. Probably the most famous portrait ever to be drawn and celebrated, the Mona Lisa now exists in many forms in the age of the Internet.

Glasgow-based visual communication studentFraser Clark has collected 240 versions of the painting that exist online, and has compiled them in a flip book that simulates a morphing of Mona Lisa. The images were arranged alphabetically according to their original file names, and suggest an ever-changing fate for the portrait as it exists throughout history. Although each of the depictions have their own unique quality, collectively, as seen on the book's fore edge, they do form a recognizable Mona Lisa.
