CEBRA Proposes Gigantic Lit-Up Cross Building For The New Church of Valer In Norway

Probably the coolest church you've ever seen.

In 2009, in a town southeast of Norway, the famous Old Church of Valer burnt down. Now, four years later, Copenhagen-based firm CEBRA has proposed the former church's replacement, using the image of a cross rising from the once burnt ground. The building largely employs light and wood creating a blend of ethereal and modern architecture. What better way to resurrect a structure than by employing the symbol of a cross using a contemporary aesthetic? We'd say it's appropriate.
