A retrospective at the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, Germany exhibits the work of acclaimed architect Louis Kahn. The collection on display includes charcoal, watercolor and pastel drawings, travel sketches, photographs, films, and hand-made models that show the history of his work throughout the development of his career. Kahn's works are organized into six sections—the city, science, landscape, house, eternal present, and community, followed by a biographical display. Most of the pieces were provided by the architect's three children, who have also established their occupations in creative fields: Nathanial Kahn as a filmmaker and producer, Alexandra Tyng as an artist, and Sue Ann Kahn as a musician. The Power of Architecture makes Kahn's works available for viewing for the first time in over twenty years, and is on display through August 11.
