NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera snapped this recent image of the moon, and yes, the American flag is still there and still flying. The images captured also show lunar rover tracks and astronauts' boot prints. NASA investigator Mark Robinson says, "Personally I was a bit surprised that the flags survived the harsh ultraviolet light and temperatures of the lunar surface, but they did...What they look like is another question."
