Umbro Releases New Home Kit For England National Team

Sir Alf Ramsey and St. George inspire this new soccer jersey.

The 2012 European Championships are kicking off in June and Umbro has just released England's new home jerseys for the tournament. Commemorating the colors of St. George's flag, the jersey is primarily white, with the Three Lions crest colored red. Without the blue of the former home kit, these look strikingly similar to Poland and Switzerland's away jerseys, but the dope grandfather collar and the red stripe pattern separate this jersey from the pack. The red stripes are a nod to Sir Alf Ramsey, former coach of the England national team, who adorned a jacket with the same pattern in the 1966 World Cup. England will premiere the Jerseys on February 29 in a friendly with Holland. Pick up your England jersey on the Umbro website after February 29.
