Last Saturday night, DoTank:Brooklyn presented Bring to Light, a one-night Nuit Blanche art festival of outdoor light installations by 50 artists from around the world. It was a display that took over four blocks in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn; light projections illuminated street corners, galleries, shops, rooftops, empty lots, and under-construction buildings. This type of art show has taken place in other cities like Santa Monica, Paris, Atlanta, and Toronto, but this past weekend was New York's inaugural event, timed with similar Nuit Blanche events in Toronto and Paris.
