On Monday, ABC News' Stephanie Wash and Sabina Ghebremedhin stated that a lawsuit would be announced on Tuesday, naming the Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green as the defendant. The suit alleges that Green committed assault and battery on a young man and a young woman.

The pair, identified on Tuesday as former Michigan State football player Jermaine Edmondson and his girlfriend Bianca Williams, claims the Warriors star physically assaulted them, bullied them, and made "misleading statements that severely impacted their lives." They made that announcement via a public statement alongside their lawyer, Lisa Bloom.

The suit stems from an incident that occurred last July. Edmondson says Draymond and his crew attacked him and his girlfriend at a bar in East Lansing, Mich. According to Edmondson, he confronted Green the next night—and Draymond punched him in the face. Those charges were eventually dropped after Green took a plea deal, which required him to pay a $560 fine for a noise violation.

"I have never felt so low in my life," Edmondson said in his Tuesday statement (which you can watch on TMZ). "I felt like I was being kicked when I was already on the ground. I ended up leaving MSU for a while. I think about what happened with Draymond every day. I still feel his hand on my jaw. There are nights when I wake up crying. I don’t understand why my name has been turned into a joke and he gets all the credit for being a superstar and standing up for women."

As for Green's camp, they released the following statement:
