The 2017 NBA Finals are all but over. Yes, the Warriors still need to win one more game to clinch their second NBA title in three years, and yes, we all remember what happened last year when we all thought the Finals were "over." But if you’ve caught even a single minute of the Finals thus far, then you know that it doesn’t look like there’s any way the Cavaliers can possibly beat the Warriors four straight times to stun them in the series. They’ll be lucky to avoid getting swept in Game 4 on Friday night.

So with that in mind, most people have stopped analyzing the series and trying to figure out what the Cavaliers need to do to compete. And instead, they’ve set their sights on much more important things. Like whether or not Steph Curry was pretending to "poop" on the Cavaliers’ court at the end of Game 3.

Yes, you read that right. This is real debate that is actually taking place on the internet right now, and because the Finals have, for the most part, been a snoozefest, we’re all for it.

Now, if you have absolutely no idea what in the world we’re talking about, do yourself a favor and watch this clip of Kevin Durant knocking down the go-ahead three-pointer during Game 3 on Wednesday night. But instead of focusing on KD’s shot, keep your eyes on Curry and watch what he does after the shot goes in.

Did you catch it? If not, here’s a photo that shows what Curry was doing while all of his teammates were celebrating KD’s big three:

Was he…? Yeah, it sure looked like it. And over the course of the last 12 hours or so, more than a few people have pointed out that Curry appeared to be poo-pooing the Cavaliers’ chances of coming back in the series. Even though he only, er, held his position for a second, enough people saw it and pointed it out for this to become a thing:

So was Curry really doing what everyone thinks he was doing?

We highly doubt it. For starters, it’s not like KD’s shot clinched the game for the Warriors. It put them up by one point with a ton of time left on the clock. It also seems out of character for Curry to do a celebration like that. He’s not above showboating, as he’s shown in this Finals series:

But straight up sh*tting on another team’s court? That seems a little bit too disrespectful for him.

But if he wasn’t doing what everyone thinks he was doing, then what was he doing? No clue. But it’s sparked intense debate in some internet circles and provided us all with something to talk about between now and the start of Game 4 on Friday night. So thanks, Steph. We think.
