Marshawn Lynch is back in the spotlight—did he ever really leave?—since he returned from retirement and was traded from the Seahawks to the Raiders last month.

Beast Mode has always been a man of eccentric interests, from his Skittles obsession to his appearance on Bear Grylls to his affinity for cruising around in golf carts. He keeps us on our toes. Well, add another item to the list of “things we didn’t know Marshawn Lynch was into”: the band Train.

That’s right—the music group responsible for hits such as “Hey, Soul Sister” and “Drops of Jupiter” (remember that one?) just released its new music video for “Drink Up,” and Marshawn plays a prominent role in it.

The video centers around a wedding that turns into a wild party, and Marshawn flourishes in his role as the groom. Sporting a dressed-down tuxedo and a Beast Mode hat, Marshawn is true to form throughout the video.

He’s first introduced at the :33 mark when an Instagram post pops up with a photo of Lynch and the caption “YA BEAST GOT HITCHED #wifedup.”

Perhaps the funniest moment happens at the 3:38 mark, when Marshawn accuses Pat Monahan, Train’s lead singer, of texting Pete Carroll, “PASS! DON’T RUN.” That’s why, Marshawn says, Monahan was not his Best Man. Poor Marshawn. Super Bowl XLIX (a loss to the Patriots) follows him everywhere.

Oh, and don’t miss the photo op that turns into Marshawn grabbing his crotch. He put da team on his back, doe.

George Lopez and Ken Jeong also play prominent roles in the video.

So, how did Train get connected with Marshawn? They seem to occupy very different parts of the pop culture space, right?

Well, as For The Win shared, Train performed at the 2013 Pro Bowl, and Monahan met Lynch’s agent. The agent connected Mohanan with Lynch and the two hit it off. They’re both from the Bay Area and apparently became fast friends.

Never change, Marshawn Lynch.
