Dulwich Hamlet's takeover of non-league football is gathering pace.

The London team – who currently play their football in the Isthmian League Premier Division – is one of the biggest success stories to come from non-league football in recent years and their legend has just grown with the announcement of a new sponsorship agreement with online start-up Picfair, who like Dulwich Hamlet, are tearing up the rule book in their own industry.

Picfair, which intends to simplify image licensing and flip the traditional industry model that channels royalties away from photographers, has promised to be a different, fan-focused type of sponsor and that's already begun with the announcement that Dulwich fans will be voting for the club's home kit for the 2017-18 season.

DHFC and Picfair are giving fans the chance to vote for a new home kit.

Dulwich Hamlet have been applauded for taking a forward-thinking approach with regards to fan involvement, which includes community initiatives such as raising funds for Syrian refugees, supporting LGBT charity Stonewall and wearing special kits in aid of International Women's Day.

The club draws the highest attendances in the seventh-tier of English football – their average crowd size was 1,343 in the 2015-16 season – and it's this special relationship with the fanbase that encouraged Picfair to partner with the club.

Picfair CEO Benji Lanyado said:

"There's something special about Dulwich Hamlet. There’s also a feeling of kinship for us as the club has achieved something that we're trying to do at Picfair.

Dulwich Hamlet could end their season with promotion. They'll play Enfield Town in a play-off semi final on 27th April.
