Carmelo Anthony was "messing around" with a woman who now says she's pregnant with his baby, TMZ Sportsreported Tuesday. Citing multiple sources, TMZ Sports said the woman is six and a half months pregnant with Anthony's child. La La Anthony is reportedly "pissed" about the situation.
The woman in question, who has not been named in reports, reportedly works as a dancer at a gentlemen's club in New York City. She has "made it clear" to Anthony that he will be expected to help with medical costs and related expenses, TMZ Sportssaid. Carmelo and La La's marriage, however, has reportedly been in trouble for a bit. Thus, the alleged pregnancy has not been characterized as the catalyst for their supposed split.
Carmelo Anthony and La La Vázquez reportedly parted ways earlier this month, with La La believed to have moved out of the Anthony family home just last week. Initial reports said the current NBA season has been a stress on the couple's seven-year marriage. Though divorce papers have not been filed, TMZsaid Tuesday that reconciliation is unlikely. The split has been described as amicable.
The two married in 2010. Preparations for their marriage were filmed as part of the VH1 reality series La La's Full Court Wedding, which premiered in September of that year. La La's Full Court Life, a spin-off, debuted in 2011 and ran for five seasons. The (former?) couple has one child together, a 10-year-old son named Kiyan Carmelo Anthony.
