It’s hard to believe it’s been four months since Deshaun Watson and the Clemson Tigers won an epic college football championship game against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Watson totaled 941 yards of offense, and Clemson claimed the game 35-31 behind a late touchdown toss. Quite a game.

Well, Alabama fans haven’t forgotten, and they still harbor some real animosity toward Watson (who, for the record, is a pretty hard guy to dislike, but did break their hearts). A bar in Tuscaloosa—Crimson Tide country—is apologizing after Watson was mistreated there Friday night.

He visited Innisfree Irish Pub, and as you’d expect, some fans were less than polite to Watson. He left on his own accord after some Alabama fans told him he wasn’t welcome there; Watson didn’t want the situation to get ugly.

The pub posted a Facebook statement apologizing for Watson’s mistreatment.

So, why did Watson venture into enemy territory? We have no idea. But does it really matter? He has the freedom to go wherever he wants.

Another Tuscaloosa bar employee did tweet this about Watson.

Had a chance to talk to @DeshaunWatson4 last night and he's a real stand up guy and wish him the best in the draft. Good luck bro

The latest NFL mock drafts have Watson being selected anywhere from mid-late first round. The draft kicks off April 27.
