For people who aren’t keeping up with the NBA, you may be surprised to hear that 22-year-old Giannis Antetokounmpo (whose parents are Nigerian immigrants to Greece) is the face of the Milwaukee Bucks. The skilled small forward and sometimes guard made the NBA All-Star team this year—a first for the Bucks since Michael Redd in 2004—becoming the franchise's youngest player to start in the All-Star Game.

Complex News got the chance to sit down with the basketball phenom during a special April Fool’s set up with Mountain Dew. A video crew was actually filming footage of Antetokounmpo for a live-streaming bus stop ad, and as you can imagine, random bus riders and pedestrians were all kinds of surprised, especially the basketball fans.

After the April Fool’s fun, Complex News anchor Pierce Simpson talked with Antetokounmpo about moving to Milwaukee and being the breakout star of the Bucks. “I came as a young kid and since day one they were always there for me and supporting me,” Antetokounmpo says. Simpson even brushed up on some Greek and chatted with Antetokounmpo about his awesome partnership with Mountian Dew.

So to get the full take on this international basketball star, check out the video above.
