Depending on your life perspective there are probably one of three points of view you have on LaVar Ball, the father of prep superstars Lonzo, LaMelo, and LiAngelo Ball who just can't bring himself to say "no comment."

1.) Brash or not, he's a doting dad who simply has a lot of confidence and support for his children
2.) He's a braggart whose mouth is writing checks his kids will have to cash
Or, 3.) Who the hell is LaVar Ball? This is the first time I've ever heard that name

Previous greatest hit sound bites from LaVar include saying his son Lonzo (currently a freshman at UCLA) will be the first player drafted with his own brand, that he's already better than Stephen Curry, and that he will only play for the Lakers when he jumps to the pros (which he quickly clairfied/walked back a day later).

While one would think that he might want to tone it down a notch, LaVar was back at it again on Thursday as he told ESPN's Jovan Buha that Lonzo should be the No. 1 pick because he's "earned it."

"Lonzo should be No. 1 because he's the only player in the draft that could make everyone else around him better," the eldest Ball said. "Why shouldn't he be No. 1? He's earned it. Nobody else is playing like him. Nobody else is doing what he's doing. He's selling out arenas. He's making all these players better (...) How do you start your franchise without that guy?"
