The FA People's Cup is the closest most of us will ever get to football glory.

Launched in 2015 with over 30,000 participants in its first year, the FA People's Cup is the biggest 5-a-side football tournament for amateur players in the UK, stretching across every corner of the UK with entry categories for every age group and ability.

Under the FA's new drive to ensure that football is a game enjoyed by everyone, the People's Cup opens the sport up for all while also giving amateur players a rare chance to explore the type of competitive edge that makes us love the game in the first place.

The competition is completely free to enter and takes place over three stages, the first round and semi-finals – which have already taken place – and the finals, which come at the end of April. The winning teams receive tickets to the Emirates FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium on May 27th.

Here's what went down when the first round of the FA People's Cup rolled into pitches – including the Power League in Shoreditch – last month.
