Darrelle Revis, the New York Jets’ well-known defensive back and seven-time Pro Bowler, was involved in a street fight in Pittsburgh early Monday morning, according to two local television stations. The details of the incident are a bit sparse at the moment, and they differ between the two sources.

WTAE, which cited sources close to the investigation, has reported two men were left knocked out in the street following the brawl. WTAE states the 31-year-old Revis has not been charged.

The station provided the following timeline:

“1. Revis was approached by two people on the street who complimented his clothes and asked if he was Revis.

2. Revis answered yes. The men continued to follow him and started recording him on a cellphone.

3. A shoving match ensued as Revis asked the men to leave him alone.

4. Victims say Revis grabbed the phone from one man in an attempt to delete the video, then threw the phone onto the street.

5. A friend of Revis' approached, and the two men were punched. Nobody saw who threw the blows.

6. Both of the injured men were taken to the hospital. One suffered broken bones around his eye.”

Another station, KDKA, has a very different report of the event, which it states comes from Revis’ representative law firm, Blaine Jones Law. KDKA states Revis was injured after getting into an altercation on the South Side.

Below is the statement provided by Blaine Jones Law.

“Mr. Revis came home to Pittsburgh this past weekend to visit family and friends. During that time Mr. Revis went by a location in the Southside that he is in the process of developing. Mr. Revis was physically assaulted while at that location by a group of at least 5 people. Mr. Revis feared for his safety and retreated from the aggressors. Mr. Revis was not arrested after this incident. Mr. Revis sought medical attention as a result of the aforementioned attack.”

Pittsburgh Police have released a statement that aligns with WTAE's account of the events.

This story will become clearer as more information as released, but at this time much is unknown. We’ll have the latest as it comes out.
