Jeffrey Sandusky, the 41-year-old adopted son of former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky, has been arrested and charged with multiple sex crimes involving children. The charges against him include statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and corruption of minors. The younger Sandusky’s arrest comes about five years after his father was found guilty of multiple child sexual abuse charges.

According to WATJ in Pennsylvania, Sandusky was arrested on Monday, several months after he was first accused of sexually assaulting a minor. The minor is reportedly a teenage girl. Court documents indicate Sandusky was dating the girl's mother at the time of the assault and had lived with the mother for approximately five years.

Pennsylvania State Police first launched an investigation into Sandusky in November after the girl told her parents about a text message exchange with him. During that exchange, Sandusky allegedly asked the child for naked photographs. He also allegedly asked the girl to delete the text messages he sent to her from her phone. She refused, and the teen's father contacted police after he was made aware of the text messages.

The criminal complaint that was filed indicates that Sandusky has also been accused of sexually abusing another child back in 2013. Sandusky’s bail has been set at $200,000, and he has been prohibited from having any contact with minors at this time.

Sandusky’s mother Dottie was present at his arraignment on Monday. His father is currently expected to spend the rest of his life behind bars after being found guilty of a long list of sexual abuse charges in 2012.
