David Haye's feud with Tony Bellew is turning toxic.
The two British fighters will clash in the year's most anticipated grudge match on March 4 and yesterday's press conference in Liverpool – in front of hundreds of Bellew's hometown fans – turned ugly.
Haye posted his rant towards Bellew from the confrontation on Instagram last night and in the caption, he claimed to have suffered racist abuse from the vocal Liverpool crowd:
"Things got seriously heated today at the Liverpool press conference. The #BellendBellew moron fan club spouting racist abuse didn't help the already tense conference. I can't wait to unveil Hayemaker 2.0 to the World on Saturday night Live on SKY BoxOffice."
Throughout the press conference, fans can be heard chanting "Who the f***ing hell are you?" at Haye, his manager and a fighter on Saturday night's undercard, Ohara Davies.
Those who watched the press conference haven't been able to pick up any racist abuse, which would add a whole other layer of toxicity to a rivalry that's already been labelled as 'crossing the line'.
David Haye was feuding with the fans in Liverpool before he took to the stage.
Haye steps into the ring with WBC cruiserweight champion Bellew after the Liverpool fighter called him out as the "Bermondsey Bitch" repeatedly last year.
This will be a war.
