The Atlanta Falcons were oh-so-close to becoming Super Bowl champions for the first time in franchise history. After a six-yard touchdown pass from Matt Ryan to Tevin Coleman gave the Falcons a seemingly comfortable 25-point in the third quarter, it looked like the Lombardi Trophy was coming to the ATL. Even Bow Wow was confidently calling it.

But don't let all that bragging from distract you from the fact that the Falcons blew a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl. Be prepared to hear that statement over the next couple of weeks...a lot.

After falling short against the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXIII, the Falcons were looking to finally reach the mountaintop at Super Bowl LI with just the New England Patriots standing in their way. With the Falcons on the cusp of making history, many Atlanta rappers showed up to NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas to show their support.

Y'all forgive US. We don't know how to act. ain't never had SH*T!! BUT WE GON GET IT TODAY THO!! Haaaaaa!!! #RISEUP #ATLFALCONS #SUPERBOWLLI pic.twitter.com/SO2Grfv1Fg

When the final whistle was blown, the sadness and disappointment officially kicked in.
