Magic Johnson is known for saying some of the most obvious things in the world on Twitter. And the stuff that he says in the TMZ Sports video above is pretty obvious, too. But while we’ve all grown accustomed to scrolling right past Magic’s basic observations on social media and ignoring them, we hope that people pay attention to what he told TMZ when he was asked for his opinions on Donald Trump over the weekend.

TMZ talked to Magic about his thoughts on the Muslim travel ban that Trump put into place late last week when they caught up with him outside of a restaurant in Los Angeles. And he went as far as to refer to the president as a "dictator" in his response.

Here’s what Magic had to say about Trump:

It’s wrong to discriminate against people. And we have a lot of great Muslim brothers and sisters who are here doing a wonderful job of being great Americans. And then, you know, also, too, it’s not just them. [He] wants to send Latinos back home and build a wall to keep people out. It’s just not who we are as Americans, you know?

As we mentioned, Magic isn’t exactly breaking any new ground here. He shares the same opinion on Trump that millions of other Americans have. But for once, we don’t mind Magic stating the obvious. You really can’t say what he said enough after the weekend we all just endured.
