Le'Veon Bell is one of the handful of professional athletes who also doubles as a rapper, occasionally dropping new songs on SoundCloud from time-to-time.
His most recent foray into hip-hop came Monday afternoon when he posted a link on his Twitter account that, if clicked on, would take you to a diss track (released under his not-very-original rapper name Juice) aimed at Skip Bayles. In a move that can be described as anything but subtle, the new song is named "Shrimp Bayless." He then pinned that tweet:
The release came after Bell teased that it would drop at 5 p.m.:
We'd say it's safe to say he's heard all the criticism that the most vocal of talking heads has lobbed his way, considering there are numerous sound clips from Undisputed littered throughout the track. Bell, who made his second career Pro Bowl this year after amassing almost 1,900 yards (despite beginning the season suspended), then spent the next hour plus (he's still going) re-tweeting all the praise from his fans:
Safe to say this release would've been put off a week or two had the Steelers made it to the Super Bowl. We're not sure how Mike Tomlin feels about lines like "Deflate ya just like I'm Brady," especially a day after we heard that Antonio Brown's antics were wearing thin on the organization.
Guess that's their problem.
Anyway, feel free to listen to the entire song below and form your own judgment:
We're sure Shrimp Bayless will have no shortage of opinions on it tonight/tomorrow/the next day/whenever.
