LeBron James looks off into the distance.

Amanda Nunes disposed of the Ronda Rousey comeback tour in 48 seconds at UFC 207 on Friday night as the world looked on. The Lioness handed out one of the most efficient fades of 2016 when she defended her bantamweight title. Not long ago, Rousey was viewed as the biggest star in UFC history and as of this weekend she might as well be through.

Last night, a man who knows something about seeing the top of the mountain, falling down, and reaching the summit again, weighed in on her circumstances. LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers told theAkron Beacon Journal that he could relate to what Rousey was going through. After all, the media firestorm was crazy when he left Cleveland for Miami.

“In sports, in general, they build you up as high as they can, put you on the highest mountain in the world, just to tear you down. That’s coming from somebody who has experienced it. And that’s exactly what she’s going through right now.” - LeBron James

However, one key difference is that The King’s story has turned out like a fairytale. He has won three titles since leaving the shores of Lake Erie the first time. James also ruled 2016, according to Sports Illustrated and the Associated Press. Hopefully Rousey can find happiness in whatever she decides to do next.

It took the kid from Akron two years to reach his ultimate goal in Miami and two years after his return to Northeast Ohio to bring a championship to the region. So, she’s got some time to figure things out.

In the meantime, some other NBA stars have her back as well.

Instead of clapping for @RondaRousey defeat give her a standing O for putting the sport on the map #pioneer #muse
