Rams running back Todd Gurley looked like a star in the making during his rookie NFL season in 2015. The Rams weren’t very good and finished with a record of just 7-9, but Gurley ran for 1,106 yards in 13 games—good for 4.8 yards per carry—and scored 10 rushing touchdowns while earning a trip to his first Pro Bowl. His success wasn’t a complete surprise seeing as how the Rams took him 10th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft, but it was surprising to see him become so dominant so quickly.

Entering this season, NFL fans were expecting more of the same from Gurley. In fact, many people thought that he might be even more dominating than he was last year this season. So those fans used first-round fantasy football draft picks to add Gurley to their rosters in the hopes that he would lead them to fantasy football greatness.

It hasn’t worked out that way. Through the first 14 games of the 2016-17 NFL season, Gurley has run for just 778 yards and scored just five rushing touchdowns. His yards per carry average has dropped to just 3.2, and he hasn’t done anything to justify being a high fantasy football pick. Part of that is because the Rams stink this year and now have a rookie quarterback lining up under center. But regardless of the reason, fantasy football owners have spent all season complaining about Gurley’s lack of production:

And on Thursday night, shortly after the Rams lost to the Seahawks 24-3, one fantasy football owner in particular decided he had had enough. Gurley had another subpar game against Seattle, running the ball just 14 times for 38 yards, and the fantasy player responded to it by taking to Twitter to tell Gurley that he plans to fight him over his fantasy football stats if he ever sees him:

We would imagine Gurley gets hit up with comments like this all the time on social media from fantasy football owners, but this time, he decided to write back to the guy. He told him that if he wants to fight over fantasy, he’s down:

This is where we remind you: It’s only fantasy football, guys. It’s not that serious. And if your response to enduring a lackluster fantasy season is to threaten one of the players on your team, you should probably consider not playing fantasy football again next season.
