The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors’ matchup on Christmas Day was this year’s mosthyped up matchup leading up to Sunday’s packed slate of NBA action. This one has not disappointed in the slightest. In fact, it may have just given us the best sequence of the year and the season isn’t even halfway over yet.

If you didn’t get anything awesome for the big day, this minute and a half of amazing was for you. First, Kevin Durant gets the ball and proceeds to destroy Kevin Love at the rim with a flat-out amazing dunk. Second, Love flings an underhand full court pass to LeBron James for a vicious slam on the other end less than two seconds after being posterized.

Doesn’t Love know that once you meet your end by a dunk that you are just supposed to lie down and accept the end? He basically shrugged it off and decided that he was going to get his revenge by setting up that crazy fastbreak dunk on the other end.

That would be enough to justify the awe on display here, but there is more. James steal the ball soon afterward and somehow stays inbounds to keep the play alive. Then, Klay Thompson makes one of his smartest decisions ever and just lets The King have the layup. If you can believe it, we might get even more crazy moments like this before the game wraps.

With seven of the 15 best basketball players on the planet represented on the court, literally anything could happen. All we can hope is that we get seven games of this again in June.
