Oh, Booker T. I'm happy for your high hopes on winning the 2019 Houston mayoral race, and I'm gonna let you finish, but are we really backpedaling on this Hulk Hogan situation?

For those who don't remember, it was Booker T who was "shocked" over Hulk Hogan's racist rant... the same exact racist rant that made the WWE sever their ties with Hogan, who at one time was a professional wrestling. What's changed in Booker T's mind? Who knows, but he recently spoke out to TMZ Sports saying that Hogan deserves another chance.

"Hulk Hogan," Booker T says, "made a mistake. Every man deserves a second chance, and if he gets back in, I'm going to support him 100 percent because I remember being that kid in WCW, and he supported me 100%."

I get where he's coming from, though. Booker T had done 19 months in prison after an armed robbery in Houston, and got his second chance and became a WWE Hall of Famer in 2013, holding multiple world championships and becoming one of the more recognizable faces of pro wrestling during one of its biggest eras. But with all of the people out there who actually deserve second chances, from the performers who weren't given big breaks in pro wrestling to actual people who are imprisoned for years/their lives for crimes they may have committed, is Hulk Hogan really the one who "deserves" a second chance? This is the same man who is low-key about to get $31 million from his Gawker lawsuit; does he really need to be let back into the WWE's good graces?

Truth be told, pro wrestling has had a long history with racism that goes deeper than f*cked up sh*t that performers have said; maybe it'd be in the WWE's best interest to just let Hogan live the rest of his life out sitting on 31 Ms and not coming back to shake hands and sign posters during Axxess events.
