With his entire family in Chicago, Derrick Rose was going to celebrate Thanksgiving all alone in New York City. That is, until Rose invited himself to New York Knicks teammate Carmelo Anthony's home for dinner. "My mom and everybody, my son, will be back in Chicago. So yeah, I'm thankful I have somewhere to go," Rose said, according to ESPN's Ian Begley. "I just asked where his family's (going) and asked if it was cool if I came over. He said yeah so I don't think I have to bring anything but an appetite. Yeah, that's the only thing I have to bring right now."

Wait, what? Not only did Rose just invite himself to spend Thanksgiving with Anthony's family, but as a last minute guest, he doesn't think he has to bring anything but an appetite?! Considering 'Melo is pulling in $24.5 million this season, he probably won't be upset about a lack of a contribution from D-Rose, but dude should at least ask instead of assuming anything.

It also takes a supreme level of savagery to say aloud that, as a guest, you're planning on bringing nothing but your appetite. Like, could you imagine showing up empty-handed to your mother, or even worse, your grandmother's house, and telling her that all you brought was your appetite? Good luck making it through all the verbal jabs at the dinner table. Maybe Carmelo is expecting to receive his "contribution" from Rose out on the basketball floor. Either way, D-Rose owes 'Melo.
