Here's a short, but very disturbing, video of a teen who made a friendly—albeit bizarre—wager with his friends during the World Series this year. The bet was simple. He said that if the Cubs ended their 108-year drought and won the World Series, he would let them rip one of his teeth out. And as you almost certainly know by now, the Cubs won, so the teen kept his word and allowed his friends to do away with one of the teeth in the back of his mouth.
The teen's preferred method for extracting the tooth—sidebar: is there really a "preferred" method for extracting a tooth that doesn't need to be pulled?—was attaching the tooth to a football with a string and then having one of the guy's friends throw it, just like they teach at the world's finest dental schools.
And after the deed was done (ouch), the teen also delivered a message to all of those people who claimed the whole thing was fake:
Damn, do we feel stupid for ever doubting him...
Here's hoping that this act of suburban boredom ups the ante for future politicians (and NBA stars) who plan on making stupid bets that don't involve putting anything of actual importance on the line.
