The Celtics played the Heat in Miami on Monday, but without their forward/center Al Horford. The Celts were gracious enough to grant their four-time All-Star a one-game paternity leave to support his wife for the birth of his daughter in Atlanta on Sunday. Horford showed his gratitude to the team's management.Â
But one notable figure who covers the Celtics was less than pleased about Horford taking time off to bring his daughter into the world.
In the clip above, CSN New England Celtics TV anchor Mike Felger quipped during Monday's post-game analysis that Horford is a "$30 million-dollar man" who should've skipped the birth of his child. Felger added, "I like my guys to forsake everything for the team," and went on to say Horford should have played the game.
That didn't sit so well with Horford's sister Anna. She sent multiple tweets in response:
When Mike Felger got the news about Anna's tweets defending her brother, he went on a Boston sports talk radio show to talk more about Anna. She responded by demanding a more direct form of interaction.Â
I guess she really is her brother's keeper.
