A Vikings fan living smack dab in the middle of Packers country was stabbed seven times with a box cutter on Sunday after confronting a Green Bay fan who was attempting to destroy a giant inflatable Vikings player he has in his yard. Dave Moschel, the 36-year-old owner of the inflatable, claims he was sitting down inside of his home in Stoughton, Wisconsin watching a football game when he heard someone causing a disturbance on his lawn. He spoke with Channel3000.com about what happened next.

"You hear him slicing this guy up, come outside, and 'Hey, what are you doing?' Confront the guy," Moschel said. "He [then] takes his razor knife or whatever he had in his hand and we just go on the ground and start rifling around."

Channel3000.com posted some of the gruesome wounds that Moschel sustained during the altercation with the Packers fan. Moschel said that he feels lucky to be alive and that the incident could have ended much differently if he was carrying a gun like he usually does. "Luckily, I didn't have my concealed carry on me at the time," he said. "Ninety-nine percent of the time I leave the house, I never leave without it. And this is the one time I did. I'm kind of glad I did, because he would have been dead, and I would have had to live with that."

After the fight, Moschel was transported to a local hospital where he received a number of stitches under his eye and on his forehead. The 21-year-old man who attacked him has not been named, but he was arrested a short time later and charged with suspicion of reckless endangerment and criminal damage to property. Despite what happened, Moschel told Channel3000.com he plans on patching his inflatable and putting it right back up. "[The inflatable] is going to get a little piece of Vikings duct tape put on there and it's going to be blown up every day of the week from now on," he said. "I'm still here, still living, still watching football."
