Rejoice, Team Swish! Let out a victory cry, Pipe Nation! At long last, J.R. Smith has re-signed with the NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers.

Smith and the Cavs have agreed to terms on a 4-year, $57 million deal, according to ESPN's Marc Stein. After Smith played a significant role in Cleveland's improbable NBA Finals win over the Golden State Warriors, his contract expired, and he and the Cavs engaged in a long stalemate. Cleveland saw a similar free-agency situation unfold last year with Tristan Thompson.

Smith reportedly wanted $15 million a year, while the Cavaliers wanted him to take $10-11 million per year. Doing the math on what they settled on ($57 million divided by 4 is $14.25 million), Swish won this game of NBA chicken.

Because the holdout took so long, even though it was clear from the start that both Smith and the Cavs wanted him to stay in Cleveland, rumors surfaced that other teams, such as the Boston Celtics, would make a run at Smith. Cleveland fans that may have been getting just a little nervous can now take a deep breath.

It was a big day for J.R. In other big Swish news, he announced he has a child on the way.

"We are extremely happy and proud to say that we have agreed to terms to come back with the Cleveland Cavaliers, AKA the champs, AKA my brothers," Smith said, adding that he was grateful for the support he received during his taxing holdout.

"Oh yeah, and one more surprise: we're having another baby," Smith said.

J.R. and his wife, Jewel Harris, are expecting their third child together.

Naturally, Twitter, which is filled with J.R. fans, celebrated at the news of Smith's huge day.
