Sunday morning began with terrible news as we learned Miami Marlins pitcher José Fernández, one of baseball's biggest stars, as well as two other men, died in a boating accident after they crashed into a jetty off the coast of Miami Beach. Fernández, who was a passenger in the boat, was just 24-years-old. As is the standard of deaths of this magnitude, the baseball world reacted to losing one of the biggest names in their game:

Additionally, Commissioner Rob Manfred released a statement saying "All of baseball is shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Miami Marlins pitcher José Fernández. He was one of our game's great young stars who made a dramatic impact on and off the field since his debut in 2013. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, the Miami Marlins organization and all the people he touched in his life."
