Like all of the U.S. Olympians who enjoyed success at the Rio Olympics, Michael Phelps has a small window of time to take advantage of his fame before his celebrity is overshadowed by people who don't have to wait four years for the public to pay attention to them. So on Sunday night, he did just that by dropping yet another Phelps face seconds before performing Eminem's "Lose Yourself" while decked out in a black hoodie on Lip Sync Battle: All Stars Live Championship. As a result, he ended up winning the competition, which you could argue is just as important as any of his 23 gold medals (er, OK, maybe not, but still...what a performance!).
In order to win, Phelps had to top a number of celebrity cameos shamelessly trotted out by his competitors. Stevie Wonder teamed up with John Legend to do "Hey Ya" by Outkast:
Terry Crews performed Public Enemy's "Fight the Power" with a bunch of presidential impersonators:
And Phelps' fellow gold medalists Simone Biles and Aly Raisman asked Olivia Munn to help them with Sia's "Cheap Thrills":
But unfortunately for all of them, those theatrics didn't do the trick, as Phelps made Milli Vanilli proud and vanquished his foes just like he's done so many times before in the pool. Check out his performance in the clip above.
