It’s that time of year again! On Thursday, as NBA teams gear up to tip off their training camps in the coming days, Sports Illustrated released their annual list of the top 100 players in the NBA. And as you might expect, it features a lot of familiar faces in the top 10, including LeBron James (he’s No. 1 overall for the fourth straight season), Steph Curry (No. 3), and Russell Westbrook (No. 5). You can go here to check out the complete list.

One player you won’t find in the top 10, top 20, top 30, or even top 40 is DeMar DeRozan. Despite the fact that he’s helped turn the Raptors into one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, DeRozan is listed at No. 46 on the SI list. And while you might think, "Well, that’s not that low when you consider that there are more than 400 players in the NBA," the write-up that accompanies DeRozan’s spot on the list isn’t all that favorable. It points out that he "hasn’t made much progress extending his range" and that his "defensive work has really gone in the tank." Oh, and SI also suggests that DeRozan has "had the benefit of playing in the glow created by Kyle Lowry." And that coupled with his ranking didn’t sit real well with DeRozan.

On Thursday night, DeRozan got wind of what SI had to say about him and where they placed him on their list, and he took to Twitter to complain about it.

In recent years, Kobe Bryant made headlines on several occasions for complaining about where he landed on lists like these. So it's nice to see that, now that Kobe is retired, DeRozan is going to pick up the slack. Do you think he has a right to be upset about where SI put him on their list?
