Steven Adams Beats the Monday Blues by Singing His Heart Out to Backstreet Boys

Thunder center Steven Adams spotted singing Backstreet Boys during a car ride in New Zealand.

Is your week already off to a rough start? This video of Thunder players Steven Adams and Andre Roberson is guaranteed to cheer you up.

Adams and Roberson are over in New Zealand right now, rubbing elbows with the prime minister and hosting a basketball camp for kids. And while taking a trip from one event to the next on Monday, Adams ended up with the aux cord in his lap. His response? He cued up the Backstreet Boys’ 1999 hit, “I Want It That Way,” and did his best to make his way through the song while everyone else in the car sang backup for him. It appears as though he doesn’t know all the words to the song, but that didn’t stop him from belting out the ones he does know as loud as he possibly could with a big old smile plastered across his face.

Adams and Roberson aren’t the only Thunder players in the mood to sing this offseason, either. Despite losing Kevin Durant in free agency, Russell Westbrook has also been spotted rapping and singing on social media several times in recent weeks. He rapped along to Lil Uzi Vert’s "Do What I Want" in early August:

And he followed that up by singing a couple Taylor Swift and Katy Perry classics at the end of last week:

Even without KD, this Thunder team is going to be a lot of fun next season.
